Any word on how it is towards Hickory/Conover?

If u have a scanner there is no need to venture out....it has been busy this morning with all the wrecks and people falling and needing medical help

my husband just called & said 421 N coming in to Wilkesboro is pretty good. side roads are still ice covered but 421 mostly slushy....just have to take it easy

Speedway rd is covered in ice so i wont even try making it out this way people are having a hardtime making it up the hill by my house

how are the roads from mt view to the college?

i was wondering if the roads are any better sence it is noon?i am surpose to go just past tyson about 5oclock this evening and i am debating if it will be any better at that time

My advice is to stay inside unless you are in total battle gear with padded butt cheeks! My porch is slicker than ice cubes!

Driveways are worse... they are right outside the door. Waiting...watching lol.

Driveway is dangerous as the road I think!

The roads aren't "as" bad in town.... more slush. But still slick. Not real busy in town. I work at kohls, and called to see how it was.... they said they had maybe 1 customer, and 4 associates this morning.

Boone area between Meatcamp and Todd

I live in Millers Creek, Green Acres. I cant make it out of my driveway o.0 There is a small hill, and my car just slides right back down it. Guess work will just have to miss me . Suppose to warm up later maybe.... but if you don't have to go out, its probably better just to kick back indoors.

is town busy? Does anyone know?

I live on Meritte rd on the hwy 18 side there have been only few vehicles pass since 6:00 this morning and it is just as slick as it was at 8:00 am. Walking in the yard is a dangerous task.

anyone been down speedway or 115. Just wondering before I venture out.

I heard that Curtis Bridge Road is slick to. My grandma lives on that road and she said the cars that were going by her house were sliding everywere and they werent going but maybe 10mph.

My husband just went out in the drivewayand he couldnt even stand up and walk on the gravel. Its covered in ice.

state trucks just came on Friendship Cross St.. so my hubbys going to try it in a few..pray everyone is safe!
