I was going to try to go to work this afternoon cant afford to miss a day but scanner is still going crazy with falls and wrecks. I aint seen nothing go past my house all day but few 4 wheelers and that is very strange.

Pleasant Home Church Rd. Is really quiet today. My in-laws tried to come up it from 16 and couldn't make it up the little hill.

Just made it safe to work...18N is pretty good. 2nd Street was fine...luckily I was behind a state truck.

My husband attempted to go to work despite my pleas. He made it to Walmart, stayed there for awhile, made it back to around the Lumber company in Millers Creek and had to sit there for about an hour before making it back home. I have to be at work this evening. Hope it's a bit better by then.

Guessing my husband would rather risk his life and go to work, than stay home and be safe. He is worried he'll get fired. I am worried for alot worse.... his life being taken. What will effect the kids more... Hmmm him losing his life.
I live in Traphill and the roads look like crap... People are sliding to the stop sign from a few hundred feet away.... And not intentional... Every car is doing it!

I live in the Wilkesboro city limits. My asphalt driveway is a solid sheet of ice.

Salt trucks are going up and down 2nd street/268/18. As for the traffic there's very little but its moving faster than earlier but not as fast as it usually is.

My brother-in-law just got to Wal-mart from 268 and he said 268 is very bad but in town it is getting slushy. Everybody dont live in town though, so I guess the rest of us are in for the day.

We my fiance said the roads were fine this morning before six. He said that the reason why he turned around to come back home was because at the foot of 16 there was a little bit of ice. On his way back about 6:30 he said everything was ice.

My crazy husband went to work this morning, all the way to Boone. He said he didn't have any problems, but he is a man and you can't believe everything they say.
