no james...some of us have lived long enough and seen enough to realize that some points of view lack credibility. i work 6 days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day and speak to people from all over the world on a daily basis. i have worked and lived with people from all over the world, and i nn see people who blame "the system" for their lack of success, and i see people who will succeed no matter what.
at this point in your life...which one do you think you are turning out to be?
last night, i called TWC and the guy helping me was in Manila, Phillipines...during the typhoon! he and his coworkers made arrangements in advance of the storm to take shelter at work, sleep there, and continue their job...i commended him on his dedication, and he said "we are a very poor country. if i don't want to work, someone else will take my job."
starting a debate, and then when you are losing, saying." well i have a right to my opinion" is ****.

My biggest dream, in parochial school was to become a Catholic priest. Being a girl in the late fifties, this was an impossible dream. Still is for girls. Of course, in the fourth grade, what I really wanted was to be able to attend Latin Classes with the boys, I don't know why I was so obsessed with learning Latin, but I was so obsessed with wanting to. And I couldn't. It was not allowed. No dream is impossible, not even that one, and although I never became a priest, thank god, I did better.

"beautiful people are shoo-ins"?
really. man, i am from so. cal, and beauty without talent is a cliche'. if you think all it takes is looks to be successful in the movies, you just don't know the movies. i worked on several films, and my daughter does hair, makeup and wardrobe for the industry...it takes more than looks.
i am a high school dropout, the product of a one parent family, grew up in the barrios of east l.a...grew up on welfare...i don't know anyone who would call me a failure...buh-lee dat

Lmao everyone on that list is a movie star. They are or were good looking. Everyone knows exceptional looking people are shoo ins for the movie industry. How many exceptional looking dropouts do you know? How are far are we from Hollywood again?

Successful high school dropouts
This list used to be on Wikipedia, but it was deleted. So I've decided to put it up here. It's probably outdated though, and is by no means a complete list, but it's something anyway. Also, if you're considering dropping out, you may find this page useful. This list of secondary school dropouts consists of noteworthy people who left high school, or an equivalent institution, without having graduated. It does not include those who never attended a secondary school to begin with, and so excludes all individuals who lived prior to the first implementations of the concept of secondary education at the end of the 18th century. It does include students who were expelled, rather than dropping out voluntarily, and it also includes those who dropped out but later re-enrolled and graduated, or received an honorary diploma later in life.
As secondary education has become dramatically more common over the years, the number of secondary school dropouts has increased as well. Additionally, failure to graduate has become much more noteworthy and stigmatizing in the eyes of many than it was in the 19th and early 20th centuries, although there are a number of dropouts who nevertheless later went on to become successful in a variety of fields.
Although secondary schools in different countries have a number of significant differences, there are enough similarities for some grouping to be possible. Most secondary schools begin in 7th grade at the earliest, and end in 12th grade at the latest, though there are exceptions. Secondary school is also mandatory until a certain age (usually between 15 and 18) in most countries, unlike higher education institutions, which as a result have fewer attendees and fewer college dropouts. Secondary school dropouts have also become much more common than primary school dropouts, though in the past it was not unusual to receive only a few years of formal education at best.
British secondary school drop outs are those who left school without any qualifications or those who left before the age of 16. In the UK school system, pupils do not "graduate," nor do they receive degrees; only university students can graduate and obtain degrees.

No worries, you don't have to. Just imagine it in your mind. Say, for example, your biggest dream would be to own a yacht and sail the seven seas....Whatever...Just see yourself there.... Now, what did you do, just before you set sail?
