Boy, did that bring back memories. What is was, was football. If you've never heard it, don't miss it.
And the movie that was called his greatest role is coming on Turner Classics in a few days. He played a mean power hungry SOB. Again, if you've never seen it, do, but he isn't Andy Taylor nice in this movie. The title, "A Face In The Crowd".
Just watched "no time for sergeants" and laughed just as hard as the first time I saw it when I was a wee tyke. Have onion head recorded but haven't watch it yet. Saw it many years ago.
And now that he is gone, Turner Classic will run everything he ever did.
I grieve the loss of Andy, and have been thinking about us soon losing Bill Cosby, and I love Bill Cosby.
Loved Andy Griffith! Till this day I still watch his show. He was a fine man, that's for sure. Rest In Peace Andy. He lived 86 wonderful years! Loved his soutgern accent and unique laugh!
I have several of The Andy Griffith Show dvds. I watched about 5 shows the other night, and, honestly, felt better for it...don't know of much entertainment that can do that.
Andy Taylor was a great "character", but I was fortunate enough to be able to call Andy Griffith a member of my family. He will be greatly missed, and a piece of the family we always be missing! RIP Andy.
Velma: I know exactly what you mean: I also grew up watching Andy & Don on TAGS reruns; RIP, Andy, Don, Floyd, Aunt Bee, George, Otis, Ernest T, Mayor; they're all up there in Heaven now reminiscing about days gone by.
