I think it's very relevant. You want to enforce a law, which is great, but you have no idea how to handle the problems that will come afterward.

Come up with a way to fill those 16 million jobs and to increase the tax revenue by $11 billion, and maybe you'll convince me. But so far you don't have a plan, just a racist rant.

I am not avoiding your question. Your question is irrelevant. It makes no difference how much taxes they pay. They are illegals. That means they are here against the law.

Illegal immigrants contribute more to the economy than about half of American citizens, and they take the jobs that you and I don't want. There are 94 million people in the US right now that aren't working, and don't want to work. Most of these are retirees, students, stay-at-home parents, and people on disability. Any huge meat producing company whether beef,chicken, pork etc. can give their employees a $2.00 raise per hour easy. If they raise the price of product 1/2 cent or less per pound marketed, they still would make a killing.But that's not gonna happen. But they're still gonna raise price of product maybe just a penny ata time while wages raise 10-25 cents per hour yearly. Nobody notices those 1/2 or less cent hikes. The problem is called GREED.

Isn't greed what makes the world go around, though? You don't work for free, and neither do I. And if you could make more money at your job, you'd probably do it.

What you're wanting is for companies to give everyone more money, just out of the goodness of their hearts. And that's ridiculous. If they can't get people in the US to do the job, they'll just go to Mexico or China, pay less, and make even more money.

I don't think it is a reasonable argument that increasing Tyson's bottom line is a good reason to let them employ illegals. So your argument is that we should deport the illegal immigrants, and that the chicken catching jobs should pay more, right? Let's say that they pay illegal immigrants $6 under the table, and they would pay, I don't know, $10 to Americans, right? OK, so the salary goes up by about 50%, which means that the overhead goes up by 50%. Which means that we all end up paying 50% more for chicken. Are you OK with that? But it doesn't end there. Tyson is competing with other chicken producers that are in Mexico and China, and don't have to pay the higher salaries. People aren't going to pay more for chicken, so Tyson ends up moving to Mexico so that they can keep their cost competitive with the other producers. So now, Wilkes county's largest employer is gone, taking the 2,000 American jobs with them. What benefit did you, personally, get from this change?

The average job in America pays about $46,000.00 a year. The average job in Wilkes pays about $10.00 an hour. Most would pay more if not for the illegals. The working people of America don't benefit by illegals stealing their jobs. Unless you are the owner of a company that employee illegal, it is not in your best interest. Last i heard catching chickens was contracted out, same as security and parts of sanitation.
