mom on the go right beside the ice shop a lady made the most dilisious pies they were great she made all kinds in her house we bought 4 a week 2 chocolate 2 cocunut don't remember her name would love to have her recipes

KOA Camp Ground up in Wilbar, This was the first place I had every seen that had peddle boats. My grandapa and grandma lived near there and they tooks us out there and bought us a ice cream and paid for us to ride the peddle boats.

Hey Cyrus...I remember the old Country Club on old 421, owned by Bryant Rhymer! LOL Went there a few times, although my mama didn't know about it! ROFLMAO

what about the forest furniture coke cola bottle comp. the drive in movie on 18 and where the lowes supper market sets on 421 and oakwook exit or road i think might be wrong on the loc.

Tom William's Garage, a couple of miles above the hospital on old 421. Later Frank Church's Body Shop... home of the $50.00 paint job, lol.

Drug World....in the Monte Del Ray's location

There was an ice cream shop sort of across from Smoot Park where the eye doc's office is now...can't remember the name of it....

I can also remember when the A-frame building on 2nd St. Hill was a drug store....was it Blue Ridge Pharmacy????

And, Lowes Foods was across from that A-frame building beside the Duke Power Building!

one of the things i remember the most and miss the most is NW auto parts it was on 6th street. my grandfather worked there for his brother who owned it i used to go there all the time. it would have stayed in the family and in buisiness if my grandfathers brother wouldnt have given it to his son-in-law who in turn sold it to flowers auto.

I GOT COME SOME OF THAT GOV'T CHEESE, BUT I WAS DISTURBED TO LEARN TO THAT THEY WERE ALL OUT OF THE "COMPLIMENTARY WINE & CAVIAR"! THAT'S JUST WRONG! I WROTE MY SENATOR TO VOICE MY DISCONTENT!!! HOW DARE THEM GIVE OUT CHEESE WITH NO WINE!!!! WHAT'S THIS NATION COMING TO???
