North Wilkesboro Town Issues

one of the town issues I have is why does the town hire someone to come in with equipment bust the sidewalk up and rape or the sidewalk when the Town of North Wilkesboro has the equipment and manpower to do work like that sounds to me like somebody is making money on the side or getting a kickback

I hope to someday move out of N. Wilkesboro.
It has become a **** hole. I mean when the town wants to charge someone a fee for hanging a sign on a building they own it's ridiculous.
That's just a sample of the power tripping going on at town hall.
N. Wilkesboro is dead for a reason.

I don't live in N. Wilkesboro now but grew-up there and went to school there. It was a great place to grow up. I think some of the problems started back when the old timers started leaving and some of the local business men bought up property, cutting homes into apartments, and offering subsidized housing. The town employees I used to know were proud to work for the town. And yes...they worked and worked hard. Town used to be clean. All streets received attention, not just a few where the upper crust resides. The mayor (which I'll not mention his name) cared about the town and treated the employees good; people liked him. I think some good, regular, lifetime citizens of the town would be great. Somebody like Charles B. that really cared about the town but he probably moved outta town like everybody else? I just don't think that there are many living in town now that are really interested in the town, and that is sad.

It's a shame the employees of city hall are so miserable at work that they are in tears. I don't know of a single person working for the town anymore that is satisfied with there job since this man became town manager. We also need a new mayor but that will come later when he is up for reelection. Let's clean house.

The biggest obvious problem is leadership. Time to clean house. I don't care red or blue, elephant or donkey, we need common sense and leadership that is for growth, prosperity, posterity, and success. Not, personal gain, notoriety, and padded pockets.

(Riverrat44) yes sheetz gas was wanting to come in here but they was afraid it was going to are they local gas business but oh well bats tax dollars and a lot of tax dollars that the town is missing out on what in the **** is wrong with the town commissioners they are pathetic

That bottom land where American Drew use to be needs to be developed. I know that a nursing home is going in now and a bank is supposed to go in there somewhere. I heard Sheetz Gas wanted to come in down there and the commissioners wouldn't hear tell of it because of hurting the other gas owners here in the county. Tell me that is crooked. We need new mayor, town manager and 3 new commissioners. Lets get city hall cleaned out and start all over. Them old commissioners need to go.

87musstang he needs to go back where ever he came from along with the 510 commissioners here he and the commissioner think the money grows on the trees out on Main Street what's wrong with those hypocrites

I agree with you.(riverrat44) He got ran out of Ashe County years ago. I was just wondering how long it would take residents to figure him out there in North Wilkesboro.

The are 3 Town employees get wat they want when they want they have got the stupid town manager snow balled as **** and all 5 commissioners as well this town is a poor i mean very poor excuse for management and leadership He He I think you know who you 3 are also
