Go to the library and check out the holy bible written before dirt, you will find many cuss words and the lords name if vein. The bible thumpers pretend its not there.

If you could put a "bug" (listening device) in the boys or girls bathroom at any ot the middle schools here (or anywhere in the US) I'd be willing to bet you would hear some swear words that would blow your mind, and some you may not have even heard before!

My daughter told me the same thing. At first I was apalled. Then she said he told them that he wrote things that were the truth and that shows what kind of character his mother had. Not that he condoned this use, but he used it to show the reader the type of person hismother was. I am gald that someone is trying to teach them to be expressive in there writing. I wish I had that when i went to school. Anthony Abbot sounds like a good writer and my daughter want to get his book so she can read it all. I have to say, I think I would too.

I was only in the 9th grade when I done my English book report on The Catcher In the Rye. Im pretty sure GD was on most every page.

Maybe we should censor the book like they tried to censor Huckleberry Finn for using the N-word.
Im with manicmama here, its no worse than anything they hear in a typical middle school or on television.
