We have had boots on the ground for years in the Middle East. Are things better or worse?

So I get back from work, turn on CNN, and it sounds like the whole terrorist situation is going to hill in a handbasket. Obama can't pass all this off on previous admins...sure the imbecile drones on gowilkes can, but they've never accomplished anything in their miserable cretin lives. Real leaders take responsibility.

More hostages? Terror videos on youtube? And, Obama is going to give weapons and training to "some" Libyan rebels? WTF? Oh, I'm sure the snackbars will "promise" to be good...ISIS must be laughing their hind ends off.

we both agree,that if your roomie was telling the truth, she was messed up in the head, and needed help, of the committed to an asylum kind.

I don't think "longing to be hip" had any correlation with "gee, let's go down to the clinic now" but....whatever.

I was just out of college....doubt I had the ability to pick much of anything....maybe she WAS totally lying...but WHAT if she wasn't? A bit scary, isn't it?

I was just a kid, sharing an apartment with a stranger I talked with just a couple of times. She had two older teenage children.

Her attitude was.....interesting, to say the least....and I was trying to go with the flow and be "hip" and all of that.

I found it alarming, to say the least. Maybe the Southern hick in me? Or something else?

Her attitude about the extermination of her babies was really scary.

I didn't stay with her long.

My experience was with my roommate in New York City in the spring of 1982.

She said that she simply could not tolerate the pill and her partner refused to use a condum.

I do not know why she would make the story up. But perhaps she did.

Top Soil...I know LOTS of folks who think that babies should be aborted if they are the least bit inconvenient.

I know of a woman who has had NINE abortions.

I guess all of this will be removed as off-topic, but until it is.....it seems to me that some view pregnancy as some great SURPRISE that happened. As though it is not at all connected with sexual intercourse.

As though it is not at all preventable.

As though birth control does not exist and is not EASILY attainable.....
