It was dismissed by a judge, no jury trail, but was told it was going to be, wanted him to plead quilty to a noice ordinance, when charged with resisting an officer, cleared the others out of court room, said because would be lengthy, which was not, Deputy got on stand with hand on bible and did not tell the turth, i couldnt believe it, and would have never believe it, if i hadnt witness this, first hand, i was a witness, he even lied on , what part i played in this, i really didnt know they would do that, Do you know if we have access to the cam recordings, and do the courts record all cases, this would really prove what a liar he is, i'm thinking about sueing them, they need to realize just because they have that gun and badge, they cant do what they want!, if we were not smart enough to have known our rights this person would have been railroaded, his court appointed lawyer tried to get him to plead guilty, and scare him, by saying this was a felony and he could get 6 months to a year in prison!, the guy was asleep in his own house at 4 o'clock in the morning, the neighbors house gets shot into and they arrest the neigbor for not giving his name, which is his constitutional right, came in his home without search warrent or being invited and arrested him, because he didnt give his name

Was the charges dismissed or was the person found not guilty? It doesn't really matter either way, just because the DA dismissed the charges or your friend was found not guilty after a trial doesn't necessarily mean the officer did anything wrong or made a false arrest.

Why was the officer at the house ? does the person arrested have a history of criminal activity or previous arrests this sounds like an interesting case but more details would be helpful

It wasnt me, but it was dismissed in court, and the officer was told, he probably thought he was doing the right thing, He has been an officer for 9 years, and didnt know you couldnt arrest someone for no reason, didnt know a **** thing about constitutional rights, that you cant just come into someones house, without a search warrent, or being invited in, and arrest somebody, and dont have to give them a reason,

Get you an attorney from out of town. As to your other question a game warden was arrested and charge for assault and convicted several years ago. Buy I am curious what made it a false arrest

Can anyone suggest a really good defense attoney, for a false arrest, (against a wilkes deputy)?, has there ever been a case won here in wilkes, that anybody knows of, and who represented them??? Its about time some of these deputies learn the constitutional rights of their citizens, they were supposed to have sworn under oath to uphold these rights, but i know one, thats been working for 9 years, even made sergeant, and still dont know the constitutional rights?, not to mention getting up on the stand with their hand on the bible, swearing a **** lie, wow, i seen first hand how crooked this deputy could be, i'm really in total shock!,
