I'm guessing if it really was bad enough to hit up gowilkes, maybe you should have mentioned something to the manager on duty.
Everyone has different opinions, and every server has good nights and bad-it's a fact of life. Deal with it. You made your choice, stick to it so we don't have to see you complain on here again!

Ashlou: You got it right about both Quincy's, & Western Steer; they had what it took to be a smash here in these parts: Great food, & equally-great service!

no you are all wrong ! the reason the waitresses stay at the bar is because the drinkers are big tippers ! thedrunker they are the more they tip . also you dont see people with regular paying jobs from tyson and such that can afford a drink or 2 at the bar . we just go home with a pint from aunt bettys cabin and chug it from the bottle . the upscale , higher paid people are the ones at the bar buying drinks and tipping the waitresses big tips . its one of those your pretty when im drunk type deals .

I would mos def call the manager at the brush and I bet she would make it good. When you eat out all the time you are gonna have some bad experiences. I recommend you cook your own steak like I do its way better than anyone could ever make it well maybe not as good as the Peddler in Boone

well the reason they go into the bar area is to smoke so they better hurry up and smoke it up now because it wont be long and the will have to withdraw during working hr because they wont get anything done if they run in and out to the outside to take a quick draw!!! The food is good but everyone is right the wait staff needs a going through and kick out the bad and leave the good!!!!

Well now you see, your problem is you ain't drankin' enough of they alcoholic beverages before you eat.
Try knocking back a half dozen of your fav swill then try the food.
This also helps eliminate most of the ugly people in the establishment.
For some, you may have to have a couple more dranks, then ever thang's aaallll riiiight!
Disclaimer: pixel does not endorse drinking alcohol, dranking alcohol, nor chugging alcohol. The above is parody (not a bird, stoopid).

You can get a great steak at Big Bob's across from the depot. Also a great salmon steak.

I doubt it as the building sits high above the creek on the hill. The flood victims are staying in the Red Roof Inn next door per the Red Cross

I believe any "well" managed restaurant would do well in Wilkes county. I think the Captain's Table did alright before it burned and I never failed to get great service there.
