You happen to be spewing information that I personally know to be untrue.
For whatever reason, be it a familial or social connection- it seems that you are attempting to justify the indefensible, using blatant lies.

While we’re on that topic- here is a key point that illustrates both your and Jan123’s ignorance of the facts (or willful blindness of them.)

Being so interested in the socioeconomic status of this particular family- and their jobs...
That “unnecessary” exit that he shouldn’t have taken- leads to his place of employment.
He was simply reporting for work just as he had done countless times before- being assailed by two ruffians and violence were surely the very last things on his mind... fortunately however, he had the means to defend himself!

Also: he knew nothing of the Black family- so what possible motive could there have been?

The 911 call, recorded contemporaneously, within mere seconds of what transpired- clearly corroborates as much.

Furthermore, in perusing accounts published in the newspaper, as well as viewing photos of the crime scene- it’s my understanding THE SHOOTER was the one pursued... NOT the other way around!

In that moment,
THEY were the ones who decided to follow an upstanding citizen, a military veteran no less- on his way to make an honest living,
THEY were the ones who could’ve continued on... if their intention had been to avoid a confrontation.
THEY alone were the ones who made the choices that ultimately altered many lives.

I’d wager that if Stephen has any conscience at all (which is admittedly dubious), he has bound to have asked himself “Was it was worth it?”
Was it worth the life of his father, was it worth losing his mobility- and therefore the ability to more fully interact with his children?
Being accountable for the actions we make, and their subsequent consequences- was instilled in me from an early age.

Perhaps that is why I have a distaste for perpetuators who instigate, and then masquerade as victims!

That brings me to yet another point; I’m left to wonder WHY during those many crucial minutes of harassing and trying to run the shooter off the road- their first priority wasn’t to return safely to their family, but instead commit crime.

In my opinion, this is a perfect example of playing with fire- can get you burnt!

Ultimately though, the biggest shame is how the Blacks’ choices affected not only their family- but the other as well.

The shooter is completely blameless in this situation, as I stated before- the choice clearly wasn’t his own, he merely could react...
That’s what makes it all the more senselessly tragic for them to forevermore endure such trauma, something they never chose or exposed themselves to in any way.

If if if if IF the two who got shot hadn't pursued some one and attacked them over a lane change they wouldn't have a few extra holes right now

Jan 123, you and Tattbby90 must be besties and stalkers. How do you know “the wife “ hasn’t worked since August? Or, if they have a new car? What does the shooters personal life have anything to do with the actions taken by Kelly and Stepen Black that day? Fact, Kelly and Stephen Black followed the shooter down 421 throwing objects at his car, bumping the shooters car from behind and scraping the entire drivers side by the pickup driven by Stephen Black, trying to run the shooter off the road. The shooter exited on RWB Road because he was going to work. The Blacks made the decision to follow him, exit their vehicles and pull a gun. By that time, no 911 call could have changed the outcome. So, you feel like the shooter should have retreated and hoped the Blacks didn’t continue to follow.him? Same thing could be said about the Blacks. Why didn’t they continue down 421? I guess one doesn’t know how they would react if this happened to them. Luckily, the shooter returned home that night. But, what was the intentions of the Blacks? It couldn’t have been good. The Blacks were the instigators. Blame should be placed where it belongs. Stephen Black is paralyzed because of his actions. He made that decision. He will have to live with those consequences.

To Rebelmomma1 i know for a fact that the wife hasnt worked since august and there car is a newer car because i just seen them out in it a week ago I do agree at whats being said that if the shooter had kept driving down 421 and called 911 that all this could have been stooped none would be dead or paraylized and worlds turned upside down and if the officers didnt reply that would have been on there hands so call it what you want and believe what you want the truth will come out ,,
