Where are all you gun control nuts at here's you chance since according to 168s link Steven was given the handgun by his father.

Did Steven have a PPP to legally receive the handgun his father gave him and where did his father get said hand gun since he was a felon. We need to find out who provided a felon with a firearm and they need to be charged.

LEO someone else suggest to me that he wasn't charged because the state would have to pay for his care if convicted.

Joe,
According to a friend of mine at the Sheriff’s Office, Stephen Black is now paralyzed from the neck down. It would be best if he’s not in jail or prison since us the taxpayer would not only have to pay for his incarceration but also have to pay for all his medical needs while in jail or prison.

I don’t think NC’s felony murder rule can be applied in situation like this, due to current case law and precedents a co-defendant or accomplice is not covered under the felony murder rule, and based on the DA’s rendition of the events if a felony was committed it would have been by Stephen Black and certainly his father would have been considered his accomplice.

What a bunch of crap I can't believe they aren't going to charge black with something. It sounds to me like He broke the law which resulted in a shooting and someone getting killed. He should be charged with assault with a firearm and felony murder since his actions cause the death of his dad and let a jury work it out.

Victims usually aren’t initially identified as the attacker’s... by instigating violence they lose their anonymity! Innocent til proven guilty “ mean anything to those that use “murderer” so easily?

Was the shooter ever identified? He was not identified in the first publications of the incident (which I thought was a bit odd) .

Maybe this guy is like our wonderful president.

I mean Trump could shoot someone in the middle of fifth avenue and I’d still support him.

If everyone was just quoting the paper then the stories wouldn't be so different, that's common logic.

Joseph T.

Posted 1:35 pm, 01/09/2019

So you are saying that the papers account of what happen isn't true.
