So.. a man and a woman can't marry if one or both of them are sterile?
Women who are older than 50 years can't get married?
Your argument saying marriage is for rearing children is a bad and poorly thought out argument.
And...
If you haven't been looking at the headlines over the past week, It was a fiercely anti-gay marriage advocate who was busted for molesting children, some of which were his own sisters. So Its not the gays that I'm worried about targeting my children, its the people who preach hate, in order to hide their own shame.

If McCrorys veto is over-ridden by the House, these magistrates should also claim discrimination for having to issue license and perform weddings for a divorcee due to religious beliefs.
(If you don't know what scripture says about a divorced person remarrying, look it up, I'm not your personal Bible commentary)

So, it seems to be quite simple actually, if you won't uphold the Constitution due to your "beliefs", find another line of work.

Kenc its just a stance to take in NC due to the Republicans are in control..it does not hurt marriages between a man and a woman...this is just pandering to those who do not like h*mosexuals....due to being brought up with lies said about the Gays....Pastors in the past have railed against Gays and those who scream the loudest have been found out to have engaged in secret sexual trist with same sex.....so if this bill does discriminate against a certain segment of society in NC..so if the Gov does veto it ...the house and senate will override this veto....and then the Gov.can say hey I tried....these who individuals need to post where the Freedom of religion is being impeded outside the church they attend?  ...hmmmm....
