Addiction is a disease, like Cancer or Parkinson's. Do you condemn folks with Cancer as wholeheartedly?

Bestill

I maintaine that you just do not understand the disease of addiction. Educate yourself!

This is not to say that I have not lived in dry counties. We just never worried about it. In my daddy's time hard liquor was illegal, so folks just made their own.

My dad and his dad and his dad's dad always had beer. But we are Irish, so go figure. What is your problem lk? Is it some weird church thing? Did you drink too much and make a fool of yourself? Seriously, what is your problem?
In my family, there was always a beer in the refrigerator, but we raised great kids, who also appreciate a good lager. Everybody graduated college, married and had beautiful children, were successful in life...seriously, what is your problem?

I am an old woman and beer has not been illegal in my lifetime. Thank God!

While I'm getting condemned I might as well ask this question now so I can get put down all at one time . In the late 00s it was against the law to drink beer then they made it legal now u can walk in most stores and buy it except u have to wait until 12 on Sundays I think the reason is so it's after church once again how does that look ?

Regardless where you get your junk, folks will help you!

Are you suffering from addiction, lk?
If so, just ask for help, folks will help you.

Nope!

I also wonder if doctors prescribe pain medication and that is legal or u can walk in a methadone clinic and get it and because you buy it there and at the drug store it's ok to use the drugs but if u buy the same drugs on the street that is not legal. Do u think it's going to matter to God where the medication came from ?

Actually, that is the kind of god they worship.

Maybe try the shoe on your own foot lk. Suppose you are stricken with disease and are no longer able to care for your children....should we all get together and talk about God is going to torture you for eternity because of it? Is that the sort of God you worship?

What is really scary here is the grand parents raising the children is the same individuals that raised the mother. What make anyone think they will do any better job with these children?

Bestill

I did not get the sense that this was the grandmother, just some fool who likes feeling superior and takes joy in condemning others.

actually, there were at a minimum 5 sexual encounters...as you have stated.

Sex and drugs kinda go hand in hand...to say the least.

Yes, it's clear you are confused as to whom is judging whom...your original post was very condemning and judgemental toward said mother.

btw, this has nothing to do with mans law vs gods law...it's has to do with personal choices that have led to more than a few mistakes and of course, someone else has to bear the brunt of those mistakes..i.e. the children, the grandparents and the taxpayers.

In the end, if you are the grandparent, then it looks as if you too have choices to make...ask for guidance and strength, just don't do it on gowilkes.

What I see here is someone is messing around with someone's guy friend. When are you ever going to learn, give your mate what they want or they will go and get it where they can.

I think if it was only 1 child I could understand they could be reasons but ..this makes the 5th child also dss was involved and drugs was the reason the children was removed ..and let say I will be the first to say I can NOT raise 5 children ..yes i wonder also why any of the father's couldn't raise the children .

Hopefully, the OP will come back to her faith and never again make such horrible judgement.

Great insight Goddess! We cannot judge. We don't know the mind of the Almighty. All things come to their right place.
