What if the person telling me "the word" is incompetent of providing me with the motivation, or the evidence that will make me believe?

It is the person of the Holy Spirit whose job it is to reveal Christ to your heart. It is the labours in the field whose job is to shine their light and encourage you to consider his redemption plan. The rest is up to you.

Billions. Billion of people have lived and died in remote parts of the world. India, China, South America. These people never knew, or rejected your god.

Now this is assumption on you part, you have no possible way of knowing that.
regardless of the numbers(I'm off by maybe a billion) what about answering the question?

goddess, possibly 1047 will assume that you are not saved until he hears you singing the song of deliverance. I think that's what he is saying.

Well after all, you know the tree by the fruit it bears.

then what about the billions of people that never received this "gift"?

did a god's laziness cause their ****ation?

Ever think about how many thousands of people may be reading and rejecting this witness on GW, and how many people will try to blame God on that day only to be reminded of the times they rejected him.

are these people in h*ll? or heaven? if in heaven why do they get a "Free Pass"?

can a Murderer get a "free Pass" to heaven if only he had been told about "the word" he wouldn't have committed that crime?

John 2:

23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

24But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

25And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

"I am so made that I cannot believe."
Thank you for that insight. You are no different than anyone else. The gift of God is so special that he will wait until you are ready to receive it. He doesn't want us to confuse his gift with the things of this world. You are very close to that gift.

That is my point, I am sure Saul didn't bother with the simple as you say BS. He had been conditioned to believe that unless it matched his understanding and his education at the time it just had to be BS. The only problem he was looking through a glass darkly, the things of God are spiritually decerned, no way he could see until his eyes were opened by the Lord of Glory

You know, I was brought up in the church. I went for about two decades.

When I was young, I was well conditioned into believing, I would've welcomed a sign, any sign really. But, when I was most influenced by belief, nothing. Yet the people around me were getting "signs".

I grew older, and all my friends were getting baptized, yet I never felt "ready". I asked my friends why they did it, their answers ranged from "I just felt ready" to "my parents told me to". I read the bible as much, if not more than my class mates, and I would get high marks on my ability to understand scripture, because I had the habit of reading all verses leading up to the assigned text, and the ones following, just to be sure I got the full meaning of it. I'm the only one of my 3 siblings who isn't baptized.

One of my favorite things to do when I was a child was to watch T.V. shows about U.F.O.s. I was also dreadfully scared of pictures of aliens(the little grey men type with large eyes). I liked these shows because every episode would begin with a claim that "______ finds evidence" or "The truth the government doesn't want you to know" all mixed in with the words "Top Secret" but when you get to the end of each show, nothing. The evidence that they provide is weak assumptions and known hoaxes. Then they would make a comment about needing funds to be able to go on yet another hunt or expedition. Yet every week they're back on T.V. making the same claims.

Those alien shows and religion had the same thing in common when I was growing up. I wanted to believe. I would tune in every week and think "this week is the one that will blow my mind" But every week it was just snake oil tricking me into tuning in. People in the congregation would, on church picnics claim that "god granted us this beautiful sunny day". but then the following months picnic would be rescheduled do to weather. Every sermon was packed with the words "Truth" and "He is powerful" but yet again, provided no evidence besides mostly telling people how to behave in society. One of my pet peeves is an authority figure telling me something I already know, make me feel like they don't think highly of you.

I then joined the military and my Sunday mornings became filled with either work, or hangover cures, And even more authority figures telling me things I already knew and felt like common sense like "No means No" and "Don't drink and drive"

But heres the thing. People who say that "god showed himself to me" or people who say that "You are not looking hard enough" are really just BSing you. They say that you're not looking hard enough because they have yet to find anything worth finding. They want YOU to do their leg work, and tell them about it.

If my salvation is based on a belief, a belief that has to be reveled to me, then why not revel this to everyone and end the war and suffering that religion has caused? If peace on earth is really the goal, what greater way to unite the entire world together to achieve this peace.

"I am so made that I cannot believe."
