As Christians we are taught to respect all governmental authority, as all authority was instituted by God:

Romans 13:1-7 (NABRE): "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a cause of fear to good conduct, but to bad. Do you wish to have no fear of authority? Then do what is good and you will receive approval from it, for it is a servant of God for your good."

Paul is instructing Christians to obey their governing authorities. He explains that all authority ultimately comes from God, meaning that God has allowed these authorities to be in their positions. Consequently, resisting these authorities is akin to resisting God's will, and doing so will bring judgment upon oneself. This is one of the most forgotten about passages, and one of the most rebelled against. I hope this helps!

Well, that blows (pun intended) poor old Paul out of the water. Guess he'll just have to go to his boyfriend Barnabas for some consolation. Yep, the Germans did the right thing by worshipping Hitler, just like the MAGATS will if (God forbid) Trump gets in.

Was Hitler a government official?

Will admit you put on your good clothes this Sabbath morning with your Bible tucked under your arm and attended church? Probably sang a little and profess to striving to be good Christians and Americans, but still worship and support the most in-Christ like human being you've ever known ? Hello. You had a decent candidate but wanted an excuse for your choice ?
