I just don't see it as a punishment to carry your own flesh and blood. It's a blessing. That punishment was dealt by the abuser not by the baby.

I'm all for punishing those rapists and child abusers. No punishment too harsh, I'd say. I'm just not for punishing the innocent baby.

If you can honestly in your heart say that it's o.k. to butcher an innocent baby then by all means fight for your right to do so. I can't say that and never will so I will speak out against it given the chance.

myc: another good point. Yes, many times it's young girls who are raped/sexually abused by a family member or a family friend, such a mom's boyfriend.


The government has NO authority to force young girls to sustain a pregnancy that was caused under those horrible incidents of rape or incest. What would the government do to those female "law breakers?" - sentence them to prison? Ruin their chances for an education? FORCE them to become mothers when they are still CHILDREN themselves?


If some of you want to angry about this topic, then get fired up at the men who commit rape and incest. THEY are the perpetrators of these tragic crimes. Use your indignation to prevent rape and incest, not to deny women the use of contraceptives and abortion. Treat the source and not the outcome. It's the females who suffer.


If you need to JUDGE somebody for their actions, judge the criminals. CONDEMN the appropriate ones for once.

For some people this is a political issue and only that. They see it as democrat or republican. I don't care which party supports it and which doesn't. It's wrong to kill babies. The only truly innocent members of our society that are totally dependent on our protection are the very ones whose rights are being taken and THEY HAVE NO VOICE. If you are going to fight for a cause do it because YOU believe it to morally be right or wrong not because of some dumb political party.

If You can kill a child who is undesireable .. then a government can eventually do it to you as the great mother who provdes for you who cannot take care of themselves.. or they just ration you out..

Plus a human is a creation of GOD..

Rapists have parental rights that have forced women who has been raped and carry to term to be involved with the rapist until the child is 18. Talk about a double whammy for the victim. If this was not a war on women then why isn't stopping the parental rights of rapists a first priority over forcing a victim to carry to term?

When you make a law that it is legal to kill an innocent life, that is really sick. All women have control over their own bodies. If they didn't they wouldn't get pregnant to start with. I am a woman, I should know.

Forcing a woman or girl to carry a rapist's fetus is absolute madness. Access to the morning-after-pill is the most appropriate course of action....reasonable people understand this. However, some cases of rape/incest go unreported for a period of time. First trimester abortion should be allowed in those cases.


BTW, I think that folks - male or female - who agree to unprotected sex are IGNORANT to use abortion as birth control.

...and war isn't killing our on flesh and blood? people do it every day in the name of their god. if people are against abortions then why are they not for birth control and other forms of contraceptives?

There are freedoms worth fighting for, but God help us as a nation and as women and MOTHERS if we decide to fight for the right to kill our own flesh and blood.
