Fox, my point is that parents were deliberately separated from their kids by our gov't. Kids that are separated by the smugglers and / or their parents is another tragedy; at least we didn't do it.
NeverS, have you looked at the numbers from the year 2000? This isn't a new thing. After all how did the estimated 11 million illegals get here? Historically more from overstayed visas than from sneaking in.

Some folks feel that with all the media distraction of the past few days Biden's catastrophe at the border has abated. It's just off their front page and the invasion has not stopped.. It hasn't even slowed.

Fox, I haven't been to the border, have you? The only folks who really know the difference are those who are there and who have been there long enough to see any differences. I would wager that Biden would treat folks more humanely than Trump. Trump deliberately separated kids from parents. That should be a crime, especially when they have no way to reunite them.

The way to solve this problem is to change the name "border" If you have no "border" you have no illegal, undocumented, or whatever you want to call them If you have no "border" or illegals, undocumented, or whatever you want to call them then you have no crisis. Two problems solved, now all we need to do is figure out a new name for the "border

Can you post such a video? If it's so obvious then it should be easy for you to find... just be sure to post the whole thing, not a cherry picked sound bite.
Just like all criminals in prison claim they are innocent, all immigrants claim they are refugees. But most are not.
Irrelevant. When they get here, an immigration judge reviews their case and makes the decision of whether they are qualified. Until that time they're held in a detention center.
I think it's been that way since the 80s, when Reagan campaigned on completely open borders.
Question: what happens to the ones who claim refugee status but are later found that they aren't really refugees? Is Biden going to hunt them down and send them back? I'm not sure that would ever happen, because a judge has already made the determination and there's no anti-appeal process.
But if something were to happen to cause it, then I guess it would be treated the exact same way it's been treated since the Refugee Act of 1980...
Personally, I think that I've started to agree with Reagan on this one. We have a surplus of millions of jobs that citizens simply don't want, so what would be the problem with completely open borders? Let them come, take a job that no one else wants, and pay taxes... what's the down side?

That was obviously directed to refugees, not all immigrants. And it wasn't an invitation, it was a summary of the Refugee Act:
