It's really pathetic Winds that you care more about your pets than your own family,I love my furry friends as if they were part of my family but in reality if it came down to my family staying safe in this heat by providing ac then my pets would have to go! It's sad that your poor elderly mother in law has to suffer like that,she gets a check and can't even live her senior years comfortable by having ac,she'd be better of a living facility for the elderly! When you do people wrong Winds it always comes back on you,you'll have your day one day,you might be a lot hotter than that poor little lady!!!!

I really could have sworn that someone took her a window until a couple summers ago when she pulled the "MIL is hot" card.
I know she could certainly afford one if she really wanted one, I'm just saying I don't have a lot of sympathy that she doesn't have it. I feel bad for her poor animals when she begs for money for food or vet care...they can't live without it, and when the dogs are hungry, it's through no fault of their own. Air conditioning? Eh, people lived without it for a long time.

They have had many opportunites to purchase an a/c....hot weather is kinda like xmas....they know it's coming.
the point is...stop begging or thinking that someone else can get it for you...when in fact, it can be afforded.
Walmart sells them for $126.00, I'm sure if you shop around...one can possibly be purchased a little cheaper.

While I understand that we are all ready to jump on Winds for just about anything, not having air conditioning isn't exactly elder abuse. AC is a relatively new invention, not common in houses until at least the 50's or 60's. I bet a lot of our grandparents and great grandparents never had it, and they seemed to survive just fine.
