Remove one event in history. This would be all records of it written and from everyone's memory. What would it be and why?

My conception

Why? It would have been more convenient for me

she didn't end prayer is schools, the Supreme Court did..Engel vs Vitale. State officials could not compose prayers themselves and have them read in schools.

what she did do...was bring about an official end to compulsory bible reading in public schools...which her case was not the first to have been brought before the courts , again the Supreme Court...she just jumped on the bandwagon so to speak

As a Buddhist, I cannot imagine the better for the worst. As a human being, I just can't. Sorry, I am no help to the topic.

True it's a throw of the dice. I ponder the what if...and hold a belief in a deep rooted connection of humanity's uniting for the better instead of the worst.

It would be nice if Hitler's mother had aborted him.

Not likely, but you have fifty fifty odds. Could be way worse,

The consequence of the removal? Mankind as stated has a tendency to repeat and escalate situations. Could the removal give way to a person to positively influence and the rise to a more enlightened society?

Consider the butterfly effect.

@Quack but what if you were able to remove the event such as the birth of a person who altered the world in such a way of horrific proportions, that no one could even emulate their deeds?

Roe vs. Wade for obvious reasons

Honestly, I can't think of one! I can imagine some, like the Holocaust and the voyage of the Enola Gay, but to change a thing would create more dishonor than benefit. **** happens and we learn and try to do better.
