TOOK 5 MORE TO VOTE TODAY ALL FOR TILLIS...LOL......LOVE TO CANCEL THOSE HAGAN VOTES......AMAZING HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK SHE NEEDS TO GO AND THREE OF THESE WERE WOMEN......SENIOR CITIZENS FROM MY CHURCH WHO NORMALLY WOULD NOT VOTE......THANKS FOR MOTIVATING ME ROSESTAR......LOL
Let's talk about the women's issues for a second. If Democrats were to really care about women's issues they would start looking at the single mothers.
Men who've abandoned the children they made and pay little to no support for them. How many women do you know who are raising children on their own and the dead beat dad is completely out of the picture? If the man stops paying child support how long does the mother have to suffer to make ends meet while she waits on the system to enforce the law and track him down? If I were running, that would be the top thing I would focus on.
Start putting more legislation into domestic violence. Even if the woman is scared to press charges, set a minimal rule that punishes a man for ever raising his hand against his spouse or girlfriend. No woman should ever have fear either of the male coming around for pay back.
Expansion of heating vouchers during the winter season. Assistance in this area always seems under funded and runs out before those needing assistance can even apply. The reduction of medical visits for sick children due to lack of heating would more than pay for this expansion. It's an easy program to sell and it would be hard for anyone to vote against.
Expansion of Medicaid to mothers that have children on Medicaid, Keep mothers healthy and able to work. Things like pneumonia, bronchitis, or other respiratory illnesses will run their course through this winter, and a woman needing medical attention will need the proper medication and attention. She will miss work, and still be stuck with a bill that compounds on the misfortune.
Again, if I were a democrat running, I would be focusing on these issues. The issue on gender wage gap is way to ambiguous to get anything done, and would take years to hammer out the details. The ideas I pointed out, are simple, and make sense to the voters you're trying to reach out and say you care about them.
