Mich,
I bet I can prove that you believe the same as I do. I'll wager that you supported the owner of The Red Hen when they refused service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders in 2018.

1048,
If the Doctor is in a private practice then he should have the right to pick his patients as he wants.
No on the fire and police departments because they exist through property taxation, taxes that are mandatory and not optional and have to be paid, therefore fire and police departments have a duty and obligation to respond.

Then you believe a doctor should be able to refuse a dying person's care because the doctor has religious reasons yo do that? How about a fire department not coming to a house fire just because they don't believe the same way as the home owner? How about a police officer refusing to protect someone just because they have a different religion?

Mich,
Not at all, remember I'm the guy that says if it's a privately owned business the owner should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I also feel that the manager in charge of a public establishment (grocery store) can demand a certain dress code by its patrons, shirt, shoes and mask during a pandemic.

With that said, do you believe ones rights have been infringed if told to wear a mask in a grocery store?

MichSt66

Well hopefully they'll rule against all these nuts that act like there rights have been infringed by having to wear a mask one day.

Mich,
Telling someone that they have to abandon Or violate their deeply held religious beliefs is discrimination, and the Supreme Court has said that you can't do that, so I guess I'm right and you're wrong.

MichSt66

Telling a business they can't discriminate is not a form of discrimination.

Why as a business owner would you want to discriminate anyway?

Mich,
Unless it's bigotry and discrimination against bakery owners for their deeply held religious beliefs.

When Christians get discriminated against, its "persecution."

Another useless post by 1048. Most of these lawsuits were by individuals who went shopping for lawsuits against Christians. I guess you would say if I went to a Muslim, Jewish, or even a member of the atheist church and they were bakers and they refused to bake me a Christian cake, I could sue them. That is the problem that there is one law for Christians and one for the other religions. I believe the constitution states the government can't make a law against religion, even shutting it down because of Covid19.

Nope just trying to end discrimination and bigotry.

Mich,
Yes I can, you're wrong. You're trying to force the bakery owner to conduct business based on your beliefs.

MichSt66

Posted 10:53 pm, 05/24/2020

Not trying to force anyone to believe anyway. A good person that didn't believe in gay marriage would bake the cake anyway. That guy was just a bigot and used his belief to justify it. You can't tell me im wrong.

Mich,
You said this,
"It isn't a deeply held belief anyway. It's ignorance and bigotry. Saying it's a deeply held belief is just an excuse."
Now tell me again how you're not trying to force people to believe a certain way.

Careful CBF, springy has a special relationship with the proprietors.

I never said that. People can't believe whatever they want. However they shouldn't be able to use those beliefs to discriminate.

Would Jesus want you to discriminate against someone? You know what bake the **** cake and try and spread the word of God if you are that devout. I'm sure that baker has no issue baking cakes for people on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th marriages or whatever.
