I am against abortion except in medical and rape cases.
There's a specific problem with that, though.
1. A woman wanting an abortion can always find a doctor that's willing to claim that it's medically necessary. "Oh, you have gas? I think you need an abortion..."
2. If they couldn't find such a doctor, many women would be inclined to just say they were raped. How could you prove them to be wrong?

| the choice to have sex is a two way street springy....all parties involved have a choice to make...to have sex or not..to use birth control or not...unless you're having sex by yourself...well then it's a choice between both parties! |
Yes and everyone involved should take the responsibility for their choice. What you want is a chocolate diet without weight gain.

As I understood the Texas law, they were trying to end what we might call "back alley" abortions by having them provided by doctors whose competence was such as would secure them admitting privileges at a real hospital.
Essentially, SCOTUS, has decreed that abortions can be provided by quacks who aren't any more qualified than a local veterinarian (vets generally don't have admitting privileges at local hospitals) to treat human beings.
This is a sad day for wimmin and wimmin's health.
That's not correct. The original law said that the abortion clinic had to be within 30 miles of a hospital, had to have admitting privileges to the nearby hospital, and had to meet strict requirements to be an ambulatory surgical center.
The problem was that it's up to the nearby hospital whether to grant a doctor admitting privileges, so they could just deny any abortion doctor. And since many of the clinics were more than 30 miles away from a hospital, more than half of them were forced to close.

There are 13 states with similar laws, so this will have a sweeping effect across the nation.

Yes and that should be taken into consideration before the choice to have sex.

Lots of things happen even if you take precautions.

I am against abortion except in medical and rape cases. I believe the choice was made when a woman decides to have sex. Murder is not a form of birth control. t

It's shocking to me when some want to take away a poor child's right to food and a place to live.

Worry about the morality in your own house.
But, that's not really how the process works is it? Lots of times other peoples choices don't affect me. Does that mean that we can't have laws that protect the people that it does affect? Abortion affects the innocent unborn. If you murder your neighbor, it doesn't affect me. Does that mean I shouldn't care about the neighbors rights?

No ones taking away her right to not have an abortion, either.
Choice is the point. Worry about the morality in your own house.

"They may ignore it because it doesn't affect them, "
just as abortion doesn't affect you.
it may make you sad, mad...or disgusted, but it still doesn't affect you.
and no one is taking your right away to be sad, mad or disgusted...yet you would take away the rights of others that feel they must make these decisions.

When immoral individuals start talking about what moral people see...sirens and strobe lights.

Regardless of who says it's right or wrong.....if most moral people are being honest, it doesn't set right. They may ignore it because it doesn't affect them, but most moral people see it for what it is.

There should be deafeningly loud sirens and bright red strobe lights that go off every time an old white man tries to tell women how to live their life. Maybe then the old white man would think twice. Doubt it.

Wimmin's reproductive rights groups probably won't be satisfied until every McDonalds provides a free abortion in the drive through as a freebie for buying a Big Mac.

Women's reproductive rights' groups disagree with Sparklin, shockingly enough.

Huh. Do I believe them or believe a conservative male who drinks right-wing Kool-Aid? Decisions, decisions.

"They are about trying to ban abortion and undermining a woman's dignity and ability to determine her own future."
Dignity? I've never considered it a noble choice so I doubt many see it as dignified anyway.
