I need some advise about a horse I purchased about a month ago. He had some small hard spots on his back and I was told it was rain rot. He had negative coggins 2 months ago. Since we got him he seemed to catch a cold and cough. His appetite is perfect however he is dropping weight and becoming very weak, actually falling over twice now. I've wormed him with no change. I'm going to take him to the vet on Friday but wanted to know if anyone knows what could be going on. Any help is much appreciated. BTW he is eating good quality hay and feed, he's less than a year old.
