I saw that in a movie not long ago so I went out and tried it. It will make you shoot either real high or real low. Thats why when they do drive-bys they just spray everybody. Kill all the by-standers and miss your target.

It is not a problem with the way they hold it. Problem is that guns were made by whites and for whites so they put the sights on the top of the barrel to confuse the blacks. Its a racist thing used to discriminate against minorities. Guns need to be made with the sights on the side of the barrel and quit disenfranchising black.

BlueRidgeGuy found the right answer. But to add to that I also think the movie industry may have started showing it because it may cause the shooter to miss his/her target. The movie/tv/game industry's could probably change a lot of bad behavior for good behavior if they would apply it correctyl.

I'm watching the movie Ride Along and I don't want to sound like a racist when I ask. Why do a lot of black men hold a pistol sideways when they shoot? I only see African Americans hold a pistol like that but I have never heard why. Is it just style are is there a good reason?
