Doc if they truly believed they would follow the teaching of Jesus. Being it is through His Words people will receive Eternal Life. With Faith in Jesus you are faithless. John 8:51

The most famous verse in the Bible John 3:16. For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only begotten Son. Jesus own words here. He doesn’t say for God so loved the Hebrew nation but the world.

The problem is you are assuming that Jesus is talking to the world during his earthly ministry, He is preaching the Kingdom of God the the Hebrew nation not the whole world at that time.
You do not understand why Jesus was sent here. First to fulfill the Law and the Prophets to the Hebrew nation, By the way they were the only nation who were given the Law and the Prophets, And then with his death and resurrection the message was sent to the whole world, that God loved them and sent his Son that we all could be saved through his death to pay our sin debt.
Quit assuming things and get into your bible and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Plan of Salvation to you.

I think some of you are conflating Sunday worship and sabbath rest. There’s a logical fallacy in there somewhere.

Also in mark 2:27 Jesus said. The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath. He makes no mention of Israelites but man aka mankind

1047. Actually by your logic if the Bible doesn’t say “God said (your name here)”. It doesn’t apply. That’s a dangerous way of thinking

Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. He didn’t say if Hebrews love me keep my commandments nor did he die on the cross for just Hebrews. If God only intended those 10 commandments for the Hebrews why do so many defend them until someone brings up the 4th commandment the one that would inconvenience you to keep. If some atheists wanted the 10 commandments removed from a building etc. you all would be raging mad but as soon as it’s questioned as to why you ignore the 4th they suddenly aren’t important

Doc (view profile) | Posted 8:46 am, 03/23/2019 | This is what the US Naval Observatory has to say about the order of the week: We have had occasion to investigate the results of the works of specialists in chronology and we have never found one of them that has ever had the slightest doubt about the continuity of the weekly cycle since long before the Christian era.v
God set apart the seventh-day Sabbath during the Creation week. He reinforced the Sabbath in the time of Moses (Exodus 16) and made Sabbath-keeping the Fourth Commandment. Throughout history the Jewish people have kept the seventh day holy, and Jesus and his followers celebrated it as well.
The order of the week has not changed, nor has the joy that comes when we obey God and spend the seventh day with Him.
| No one is disputing that the seventh day is the sabbath the day. God finished his creation work, and commanded the Israelites to keep the sabbath day as a day of complete rest from their work, and it is true that Jesus and his disciples were under that law also. No where did God command any other people other than the Hebrews to keep laws or commandments before he gave the law to Moses, for the Hebrews. Now we come to the time that the Perfect Lamb of God would die on the cross for not only Israel but for the whole world. To pay the sin debt for every man, woman, and child, this was his plan of salvation when the time came. He was raised for our justification, our righteousness. he gives us life not we ourselves trying to keep laws, trying to do something to justify us, he does it by his life before God the Father. You want to put every nation under the same law and commandments as Israel was, you might want to ask God why he didn't do that when he gave the law to Moses
If you want real joy put your faith and trust in Christ Jesus everyday, not just going to a building on one day and then shut him up until next week.

A Contract is a Contract. Jesus died to seal his Promise. Jesus takes away your passed sins that you should die from. Through faith and obedience he will save you from yourself. Only Believe.

Doc: You are choosing to ignore the key discussion point in this thread. So it is obvious I will not be able to dumb this down enough for you. Which Holy Book are you using to quote scripture from? Also, do you believe the Earth is flat? 1goddess: Exactly!

"Because Jesus wouldn't send you to Hello for worshipping on the wrong arbitrary day."
Because if he did, then clearly your "Jesus" is too small!
