If the sign says same food, sounds like they Will still be country cooking rather than Indian cuisine. How did the rumor get started that it would be Indian ?

Here is Mint's website. Don't know if the new Hadleys will be similar?

If they cook any cuisine front the Goa region, they should have a good Chicken Vindaloo. one of my favorites

Do they have a website or Facebook page? And will it still be called Hadleys ?

Blimey, that is true. I've eaten at Mint a couple times and it was great. I know we are used to country cooking in Wilkes, but we can always get that at home or at some of the other local restaurants. It would be nice to have some more exotic choices :)

I will be absolutely THRILLED if it is an Indian place. Love Indian food. Mint in Boone is a WONDERFUL restaurant.

If they are the only Indian place around they may do well. Lots of us will try them at least once.

I didn't believe for a second that Hadley's was closing: They've been open & around too long.

I tried a couple Indian places in Greensboro when i lived there. i love the naan bread and chicken curry. They had a mango pudding that was tasty as well. Might have to try out the new Hadleys .

Don't think I've been in that building since it was Rays Kingburger. May have to try it out if it goes Indian.

I remember our first Chinese restaurant, and people said the same thing. Now we have several Chinese and Japanese restaurants, and even a Thai restaurant.

Why wouldn't an Indian restaurant do well?
