Global Warming to cause more intense and more frequent hurricanes on our Atlantic Coast

If we are wrong, we won't have made a tenth of a degree difference. The history books will likely focus on other issues.

200 years from now, the history books will be full of stories about the climate change deniers and their contributions toward making the earth a sorry place. I just hate I won't be there to say I told you so.

Less is more. Fewer hurricanes is proof of increased hurricane frequency.

Well, it does not take a rocket surgeon to figure that a storm with sustained winds over a 600 mile area is more damaging than a storm with sustained winds over a 200 mile area.

National Geo did a nice documentary on Sandy that addressed these things.

Size matters of course, but coastal geography and other weather fronts can greatly amplify the effects of a low intensity storm.

I thought the number scale only measured wind speed. I don't think it measures size and intensity.

I'll never understand how one can believe is a god but can't believe in Global warming that has actual data and evidence. To each their own.

No, the Bible will always hold that honor.

It goes count.
The storm wasn't a major hurricane.
Fact is, we haven't had a cat 3 landfall on the east coast in a decade.
This in spite of the alarmist global warming hoaxers.
We will eventually have one, but it's arrival will not herald the vindication of the global warming models.
Hurricanes are a natural part of the weather systems and serve a valuable purpose.

Global warming is a fact that some don't want to face.

Forget the damage Sandy did. It wasn't a category three storm, so it doesn't count.
Jesus Christ.

With 84 years yet to go there build, that's a mighty big claim!

I am thinking it is the Atlantic's turn. The 2016 Eastern Pacific hurricane season officially begins on Sunday, May 15, and should be quieter than the crazy 2015 season. Last year set a record for the most major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher) ever recorded in the Eastern Pacific. One of those 2015 hurricanes was Earth's strongest tropical cyclone ever measured.
