that lot was probably originally compacted(i doubt they compacted anything back then) and paved in the 40's or 50's. a tractor trailer shouldn't of been in that parking lot at all,being stable for a car is completely different than being stable for a 80,000 truck and trailer.that's why a lot of shopping centers prohibit tractor trailers. i have seen many drivers drop their trailer in a parking lot and have it sink up to the bottom of the trailer. besides if you detour through finley ave how are you going to know if your insurance is any good
That lot originally was a truck stop. :) More than likely a drain tile has collapsed

as far as i know its just damage from the truck i went by while he was stuck the whole driver side wheel was sunk in it was resting on the fuel tanks, a couple days later it was taped off around a 3x4(?) hole in the parking lot
Eek!! I guess that's why the Fuji parking lot is taped off? I've noticed the tape but I only go that way in the mornings and usually I am in a hurry to make it to work on time!
