As previously stated for the many years i have been on this site...My dad is American born of Mexican descent. My mom is Native American. Hanky has always intimated that I was foreign born.

Chendo says he is Native American. You can't get much more American than that. However, most Mexicans are mostly Native American. I guess it all depends on where a person was born and who their parents were.

A dealer can deny you a sale because they arent comfortable. But cant just put in their own waiting period. He's a liar. He just made it up because he thought there are waiting periods.

Not in NC, unless the shop just made him wait. Not sure if they can do that, but I'm not aware of any waiting times.

I'm not sure why afic keeps asking this question. But only waiting period I am aware of is time to wait to save money to purchase, the weekish timeframe for pistol permits, and of course the waiting time (30 minutes at the very very very maximum) it takes to do the ATF (Or maybe its FBI) background check call in at the store or wherever you buy it. Person to person sale does not have to have the "background" check for long guns, pistols are supposed to have permits at time of purchase.
Not sure if there is a wait time for pistols if you don't have permits prior to purchase.
