It could be because the bridge is out on 115 which would delay a response to the south side of 421, the FD decided to park a truck on that side in order to provide a more timely response to that part of the district.

If I was visiting a house that wasn't mine 3-4 times a week and staying for a couple of hours, I would drive a fire truck. Ladies love fire trucks plush wife can recognize my truck too easily.

What would be the reason for a wilkes county firetruck to be coming to a residence (no lights/sirens) on a private road and parking for 2-3 hours before leaving? I mean, there is no apparent emergency as it has happened 3-4 times a week for the last month or more at the same address.

Wouldn't it be more prudent for the fireman in question to drive his personal vehicle for non-work related "calls"? So the firetruck can be at the station where it would be easier accessed in the event of a FIRE??
