I'm sure the town board, the mayor, and the so called town manager will give Mr. Martin his job back after his court date. What will happen to Mr. Martin? A slap on the hand and court costs. Didn't he recently have a wreck while driving under the influence? Please as a taxpayer of the Town of North Wilkesboro, bring the citizens back into an honest period in government. Did you ever hear of Edgar Harris, Conley Call, or Niki Hamby being charged with a crime while serving the town of NW. No, they were outstanding citizens and had the fire department on their mind 24 hours a day. We need a new town manager, mayor, and commissioners.

When you work in the public eye, especially emergency services, you put yoursef under the microscope. If you don't want to be held to that standard or deal with public scrunity, then don't work in the field. Its that simple.

Leave it to the GoWilkes jury to convict everyone before they are tried in a court of law. All most of you know how to do is gossip about people behind a computer screen. That must make you feel so big. The is issue is between him and his wife not everyone else. I don't care what his job is, his personal issues if they are true, are between him, his wife and the courts. No he shouldn't be fired. Everyone is human, everyone has made mistakes in life, or have been accused of something or talked about. He isn't the first person nor will.he be the last.who has someone talking about him. It's easy to put bash this man while some of you are sitting behind a computer screen. Alot of this gossip talk boils down to a few things, jealousy of this man job, he was the first chief to be given a car and pure out gossip because you have nothing more to do. Not one of you will have to serve his punishment IF he gets one or deserves one. Not one of you are affected by this. The only reason it's "talked" about is because who he is. What judge said this man actually did it??? People can take warrants out on anyone for anything and whether they did it or not. Get over yourselves and stop gossiping behind a computer screen about this man. While you are saying he is so bad and already convicting him before he is tried in court, you are just as bad. Your gossip is no better than. What he is being accused of.
