When we switched from gas to central heat and air, we ended up saving about $200 a year. Gas is just way too high!

I would think that a space heater like this would be good if you only use it to heat up one room, instead of the whole house.

I have an electric baseboard heater with some type of silicon fluid in it and it seems to be efficient, it costs around $10 a month to heat my bedroom. I found it in Carolina Country magazine and it was like $200 a few years ago http://www.hydrosil.com/

We have an Eden-Pure. It was all we used as long as the temp was above 40*, but after that it had done all it could do. We did not use our gas logs last year, so it paid for itself in a season. In the Fall and Late Winter you can probably get by with it primarily, but not in the bitter cold months (Dec, Jan and Feb).

we have 2 edenpure heaters at our house and they do very well our electric bill has gone down since we have used them for the past 4 years. when it gets below freezing then we use our oil heat with them, but we are in a very big house.

And, they're kinda dangerous. What you will save on propane, you will lose in higher electric bills. JMO

Stay away from them, remember, they're just another source of electric heat.

So I was thinking about buying a couple of those little space heaters that plug in. Out of a few people I have talked some say they are good to use and others tell me the run your power bill up really high. Does anyone on here use them and whats your take on it? I use propane but was looking for something to cut back on using so much of the propane.
