as far as camping goes..does Camp Eckerd have smoke detectors and electric lights, in door plumping, etc. And there are kids there . They gather fire wood, build their own fires... no government complaints there...

Yet, he's violating all these rules...that should tell you something or other about the efficacy of the rules. Rules made for their own sake. As someone who's educated in engineering and construction, and has had to deal with the "universal" building code, I can tell you that this whole venue is a self-perpetuating circular argument that never ends. As if the bigger the code book gets, the better it gets. As with the tax code, that is exactly opposite of the truth. Just a chinese fire drill for more lard-[*** box-checkers, is more like it.

And once again, the class warfare angle rears its ugly head. Oh, he can't be making any money, he must be punished for that, eh?

I've personally witnessed food handling practices at Turtle Island, and can attest that they would make most people cringe. I don't give a rat's a@@ what he does on his own time on his own property. But when you are running a business (and make no mistake, that's what Turtle Island is), you have to live by the same laws and codes as everybody else. Eustace is famous for his attitude of never being wrong...and this is just one more case where he was completely unwilling to work with others and compromise. He's basically a large child and having yet another tantrum. This time sounds like he's going to have to play by the rules. Again, I'd have no problem with his attitude except for the fact that he's running a business...and making a whole lot more money than he lets on.
