I love the one I got, sounds like you have issues with your home. Maybe seal up any air leaks around windows and doors. Our bill went down half. Plus I just checked and the return label was in our manual. I think you just lost it and they took a little longer to mail another one. Everyone that I know that has one, loves it ! Just got to have a 5th grade education to use it !

terri butler says: do not buy an edenpure heater. these people are rip offs. when i got my 1st light bill for a whole 30 days with the unit on it, i was shocked. our bill doubled the average amount we had used in dec for 1st time in 20 years.upon calling to return-from dec 2 to jan 14 i was told the 60 days was up-that they count when you 1st order and no matter that it takes weeks to receive it. was also told different stories about how long it takes to get a return shipping label emailed to me-fom 24-72 hrs to 2-3 weeks, which is also on the 60 day return countdown. i am writing the attorney general.

I ordered 2 of the gen 4 heaters and they failed within first 2 days. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, they keep hanging up on you, busy signal. If you do get a hold of a person, they put you on hold then hang up on you. DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT. Bob Vila is a paid shill for this company. Reply

Its really hard to understand how some people can say they have saved money by using more electricity. I work for the dam#4d electric company. Anyone who uses a 1,500 watt electric heater will use up to an additional 1,080 Kwh per month, depending on how often it cycles. That can increase your electric bill by an additional $100 a month regardless of who your electric company is.
If it runs 24 hours a day, for 30 days, you will use an additional 1,080 Kwh. (FACT) If your 1,500 watt heater cycles off and on (75% duty cycle), you will use 810 Kwh which will cost about $75 THESE ARE FACTS, NOT AN OPINION! Call your electric company and ask to speak with the energy conservation department.

The unit was the second-lowest-scoring space heater we tested, earning only a 24 out on our 100-point scale. According to the folks in our Tech department who tested space heaters, the EdenPure provided lackluster temperature control and was not particularly easy to use, What's more, it was pricey and lacked an overheat-protection feature (key for safety). The GEN3 models do have this important safety feature, according to BioTech Research.
If you're in the market for a new space heater, be dubious about any heater whose manufacturer claims the appliance will slash your heating bills. Here's why:
For every degree that you lower your home thermostat in the winter, you'll save about 3 percent on heating costs. So the only way to really save with a space heater would be to use the unit in the room you're in and turn down the thermostat elsewhere in the house so that your main heating system would not operate. To save 50 percent on your heating bill, you'd have to lower the home thermostat about 17F. Also, based on national average fuel prices, using an electric space costs more than twice as much to operate as a natural-gas-fueled central-heating system.

You can buy an $8.00 hair dryer that will put out 1500 watts of heat. That's all you get with Eden Pure. Nothing has ever been invented that has the ability to put out more energy than it uses... 100% correct.might not have a fancy name or great marketing but 1500 w in is 1500w no matter what name, color, make or price.eden pure is a sukers worst nightmare.but the must have some of the brightest marketing guys ever.

Let me try again... I noticed in the Walmart in Ashe this morning all the heaters are on sale about half price. Radiant, ceramic, big ones, little ones. If you need one it's a good time to buy.

We have the comfort zone heater from Church's Hardware. Works really good. But we also have the oil filled radiator type heater for our spare room downstairs. Works great, cheap to run & perfectly safe.

The $300 one stays hot without using the 1500 watts all the time. It circulates better as well, 300 times better then the $20 walmart one !
