Eden Pure Heaters

WE have 2 DeLonghi oil-filled heaters, and one off brand. The DeLonghis are far superior to the other one! They really do a great job of heating. We use one to heat up the bathroom when we are getting ready to shower. It gets it toasty in about 30 minutes. Like Red Mist said, it doesn't heat up quickly, but it stays very warm in there as long as the heater is on. The off brand one could stay on 24/7 and NEVER get as warm as the DeLonghi does in 30 minutes. The bathroom could still be chilly after running the off brand heater in there all day!!

We heat with a fireplace insert with a blower. We keep most of the house shut off except for the kitchen, living room, bathroom and our bedroom. We stay warm, and the supplemental heat from the DeLonghi to get the temp up in the bathroom is great!

It's interesting to try some of these so called money savers like the Eden Pure. It's an ok heater like I say but for the money, I just think $400 is way to much! At most $125 maybe! Another thing unless they have improved them, the elements only last a number of years. I think 5 years is about what they say or did. Then what do you do? Replace the elements? No, they are expensive as heck!

Delonghi, heck I buy a truck load of those for $400 bucks! 2 heat my living room very well!

All these heaters I've seen use a maximum of 1500 watts.. That's the amount of heat you get too... 1500 watts worth.

My bro bought one... His heat pump stopped running all day, kicked in during the morning hours and late at night when they turned the heater off. He used something that measured volts used on the outlet and it used what a coffee pot left running all day would used. I was impressed...but still not giving up my wood fire place...!

We have a SunHeat heater. We would have froze to death without it. This old farm house is cold. We have a fire place insert in the living are and use the heater in the back part of the house. I am honestly thinking about buying another one. My power bill runs about $140 per month and that is with the heater running 24/7.

Walmart has some of the Delonghi heaters, and the one for 32.77 available via site-to-store. Free shipping, but takes a week or two.

I looked at Walmart in Wilkesboro all they have or all I saw was another brand name. Honeywell I think?

I got my 4 Delonghi heaters from Walmart a few years ago but haven't seen them in there lately. They put out the same amount of heat as any other kind of electric space heater watt for watt but are a lot nicer to live with.

The Walmart brands aren't as good as the Delonghi brands or at least in my experience they're not. They might work fine for someone else, I just didn't have good luck with it.

The 350 bucks you save over an Edenpure will buy a lot of juice..

Remember it's oil filled nothing is fast about it. It takes time the longer its on the hotter they get and the less power they use!

Cool! I have to go to Lowe's today...I may just pick one of those up...I bet it would knock the chill off in our basement quick! The Eden Pure really don't. Now I'm mad- we're out $400 and still chilly!

Wow! Thinking we wasted $400 bucks when the oil filled heater sounds like the way to go. Geez!

No need to fill the oil heaters. They already have oil in them! You don't have to do anything to them! Just plug it up, turn it on and leave it be! After they ware out throw it away and get a new one. I have one that's nearly 20 years old still going strong!

Pokerthug is right really they're just another electric heater. The only real differences is they use inferred heating elements with a blower. They really do work to heat with but you're not really going to see that big of savings as they claim or I didn't. They have a filter too, you can wash. Most people don't even know they have a filter! LMBO! That filter has to be cleaned about once a week or it just don't heat good!

Go get yourself oil filled heaters, they actually save money!

How often do you have to refill those heaters? Are they like kerosene?
