That is what FOXNEWS does as it has nothing new to report on...so its hang on to the tailcoats of the Subject at hand and put your own spin on it....

It has taken Fox News less than 24 hours to balme Obama for allowing Ebola into the country.

And now this is making news.

Flashback April 2010: Obama Kills Bush Quarantine Rules

From an April 2010 archives of the USA Today:

Obama administration scraps quarantine regulations

By Alison Young, USA TODAY | 4/1/2010

The Obama administration has quietly scrapped plans to enact sweeping new federal quarantine regulations that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention touted four years ago as critical to protecting Americans from dangerous diseases spread by travelers.

Sadly, this was not an April Fool's joke.

The regulations, proposed in 2005 during the Bush administration amid fears of avian flu, would have given the federal government additional powers to detain sick airline passengers and those exposed to certain diseases. They also would have expanded requirements for airlines to report ill passengers to the CDC and mandated that airlines collect and maintain contact information for fliers in case they later needed to be traced as part of an investigation into an outbreak

Pretty clear that Eric Duncan would be a dead man now, if he had stayed in Liberia. At least 3 people in his house, and a dozen in his immed naighborhood died of the virus.

That said, this exposes flaws in the safety measures. He lied on the questionnaire, to bypass immigration.

Just like our broken immigration system, making these checks "voluntary" is a total joke.

Now upwards of 100 people are on lockdown waiting to see who's gonna get sick. And that doesn't even include the airline passengers who flew with Duncan.

I have a solution. Stop going to Liberia! If you do go, don't come back. Problem solved!

As mobile as people are in the US and have the mindset that it can't happen here, any outbreak will quickly spread and overwhelm the medical facilities.

All those FEMA camps may come in handy now.

If no one this person was in close contact with was infected , especially family members he stayed with, it would seem that ebola is not as contagious as first thought.

I'm afraid that's not the case, however the villages in Africa where there are so many cases have such poor sanitation , it's no wonder it spread rapidly.

Woah...hold up, lol...why'd you call me a bigot for that? Am I supposed to think that it's o.k. that we raced over here knowing he had been exposed and LIED on his questionnaire and has now put the lives of several other people in question? Or should I give him a free pass because he is black and I can't risk condemning the actions of a black man without seeming a bigot?

How many countries would knowingly allow a person with a deadly and incurable disease to enter their country?
Other than the United States?
ZERO.

we have a preliminary cure, errr serum for ebola.

oh, look a source!

Right, Umpire....he was visiting family that's been here for several years for the very first time within a matter of days after he had been exposed to ebola.....and they think he lied on his questionnaire. I've "researched" enough, lol.

And I wouldn't feel any better about it if the person were from Iceland.
