Why can't you people give these young people a little credit???? Yes, they shouldn't have had pre-marital sex (let's see the statistics on how many live by that creed anymore!!!) Yes, they should have used birth control. Ok so they have admitted to making a couple of bad choices, NOT MISTAKES!!! because a baby is never a mistake, always a blessing. Can't you see that they did not take the easy way out. They could have aborted that precious life, or both dropped out of school and laid on their butts, letting Mom and Dad take care of all of them, BUT NO, they chose to stay in school, has plans to go to college and get a job. Sounds like what most teens plan, with the exception that they will have a child to think about. You tell them it is going to be so hard to do that with a baby, well I have news for you, it is hard for married or single to juggle it all, but it is done every day. Instead of tearing them down, give them some words of encouragement but most importantly GET OFF THEIR ***!!! You **** people kill me. I bet if you "unmasked" yourself, we would find that many of you have been in this position before and are bitter because you either took the easy way out or you let some one else raise your child and never tried to pursue further education or look for a better job, all the while using the excuse that you had a baby and couldn't do any more. That is bull, you can succeed if you try and it sounds as if they are. Find someone else to pick on. God knows, there are enough ****es on here that give you every opportunity to find something to gripe about.

Folks, just be careful how you treat kids....kids that already have what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders. People just simply aren't perfect. They make mistakes. It may be just me, but I always have an easier time overlooking mistakes in younger people versus mistakes in older people. Young people act goofy. They just do, lol. Adults have had their chance to act goofy and should know better.

In my opinion, this is what WIC is for. They are US citizens and I'm sure their parents have paid into the system. There's a lot of problems within the system but honestly, I don't begrudge a teen a second chance.

Off topic, I know...but I know football typically has no problem funding itself. Not sure about tax money spent on other sports, but it's doubtful that it's a lot.

I'm pretty sure she is smart enough to know who pays for her funds by now. She did have to sit through the whole process at social services, they explain all of the underlying information. Anyway, condoms and birth control aren't always available when you need them. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes things are just meant to happen, give them a break.

Not only teens get WIC and Medicaid... Also, that's not the only thing your tax paying dollars go towards so if you are going to bash on teens for getting assistance, then bash on all the other various public services.
