You don't much know much about drug tests, do you. If $40.00 to $150.00 for a single test is not much for you then you have more money then you need.

It would cost the tax payers very little to do drug test because there are qualified nurses that could administer and the test. After the initial cost of the test machine the rest would be a few dollars but no one will admit that. The more people on public assistance the more money the county DSS gets. DSS does not give every dime to the people. A percentage of the funds goes towards operation cost and payroll. If cutting peoples benefits means your employer receives less money which means cuts will be made to stay under budget and the easiest way to save money is cut employees what incentives do they have to do their job? DSS is another broken system designed by politicians that hand out these jobs under the good ole boy system so nothing will happen. Don't worry if you are on food stamps they will not take your meth pipe away.

Already been tried in Florida with barely anyone testing positive. Not worth the cost.

Personally I think we should test our county commisioners. They are flying high on something.

Shea, conservatives don't actually have a problem wasting money. Common misconception. Just ask former President Cheney and his little minion George. They wasted money like m******s.

In March of 2015, there were 45,641,762 snap participants. Let's say for sake of argument that 2/3 of that number are children. That leaves a total of 15,213,921adults to be drug tested at $50 a pop every month. That's 760,696,050 x 12 since you feel the need to do it every month which is 9,128,352,600. Now, does this make any sense OP?

Can we test the boards of those corporations that are on much, much more expensive welfare?

I think we would be better off if we drug tested cops, judges and people who work for the wellfare department first.

Woodie...read about how many states have tried and come to the realization that it costs more to implement these drug tests than any potential savings would offset.

If you're so concerned about those getting EBT, why don't you go get it? They have made it so much easier and a lot of the rules they used to use they no longer use. So instead of whining on here, go to DSS if you need them.

Millions of drug tests would be very expensive. Perhaps more expensive than the welfare itself.

Individuals that receive food stamps should be required to do a monthly drug test. The one's that are out there selling their stamps for pills and other drugs makes it hard on those individuals that really need the help.
