So, let me get this straight....This is a nurse who, is married, has children, works at Wilkes, and has a history of sleeping with and/or having inappropriate relationships with her co-workers/Dr's?? Sounds like she should've been terminated a long time ago, if that's the case. Are there not policies against work relationships? She trusted him to do several procedures on her, including a breast exam...so what about Dr/patient relationships? I think what the Dr did is completely unacceptable. Blackmailing someone into anything is wrong. Him being married and a Dr, it's wrong. But please tell me this woman will be held accountable for her part in this. I've even read that she would hold hands with this Dr while walking the halls....and how in the world did this Dr even get his hands on "personal/confidential" interactions of her? What in the actual Wilkes County is going on at that hospital. Smh....I don't know any of the people involved, but gah, doesn't sound like a hospital I EVER want to receive care at.

Person just wrote she "chased after him. " I have heard she chased everyone. So saying a name doesn't mean anything happened. But appears she caught someone else if money was involved as someone said. Who knows? Only her, her banker, husband and the other person, probably.

Don't really know how that would work out Hot Mess, there are privacy laws between a Dr and Patient/whatever.. But that would be like installing Cameras in bathroom/stalls...

Pretty sure she chased after dr anderson too. She has had extramarital affairs before she latched on to dr Thompson. What a screwed up mess with 2 little babies. She doesn't deserve any $. Otherwise look where women are headed!

One has to give DR. Thompson credit for Providing a Schedule for the lady.. But, i guess she didn't appreciate the said Schedule or the inclusions within it, give her 2.5mil and let him find his Desires/profession elsewhere.....

It did not say sex but it it said he had audio and video recordings of "private and confidential activities." So what could that be? Maybe he recorded activity in their office with others, or recorded her on the phone. I would think that would be evidence and would be played unless they agree that the event did happen.
I guess Acumen thinks you can only discuss Republicans and their faults but not Democrats or others in the local paper accusing fellow workers with lack of morals when they are just as guilty.

I just can't understand why you (or anyone) thinks that she deserves financial compensation for it. I totally agree that Dr. Thompson should go to jail, but it just makes no sense for her to be rewarded for... what, having an affair and then reporting him for sexual harassment?

This thread should have been deleted a long time ago. It questions the character of those in charge.
It was in the JP, Winston Salem Journal, Charlotte Observer, and MedPageToday, and was picked up on several national outlets. I don't know why you think we shouldn't be able to talk about it?
How are you going to feel if you find out this woman was a total victim and never cheated on anyone? That was the whole blackmail.
But if she hadn't then that would just make the lawsuit seem that much more like extortion, wouldn't it? She would have lost nothing...
