I was filling my truck up at the gas station. Guy next to me "how you afford the gas for that truck?"
Me: I worked my arse off all my life. And, I don't pay $10.00 for a 16oz. of coffee at Starbucks.

If you have to ignorantly blame someone, the answer is... Trump. I've shown countless times that the hyper inflation began under Trump.
But we've seen global inflation post-COVID, so only a fool would try to blame it on anyone. What we do know, though, is that the US recovered more quickly than any other nation.
We also know that average wage growth is now higher than inflation.
Both of those are direct results of Biden policies.

In October 2020 the national average for regular gasoline was $2.19. It was $1.75 locally here in Ashe County.
If there is an adjustment made for BIDENFLATION that needs to be made... guess whose fault that is!

The last time it was $1.75 was 2008...
Inflation adjusted, $1.75 in 2008 is equivalent to $2.50 in 2023.
It did hit $1.87 during the pandemic, of course... when no one was driving, so there was no demand. The first quarantine began in March 2020, and you can see that gas prices started to go down at that point. And, of course, when the quarantine was lifted, the oil companies made up for lost time by jacking up prices.
FWIW, the Biden administration proposed several bills that would let the President declare a national state of emergency, which would give him the ability to force them to stop price gouging. Republicans repeatedly voted the bills down.

Inflation adjusted, $2.99 today is equivalent to $2.49 in 2019 BC (Before COVID).
Don't you mean "BIDENFLATION" adjusted?
