"$2.47 when Biden took office, and gas is $2.59 now... a $0.12 difference."
A little off there Anti, On the week he took office in January 2021 gas averaged $2.39 a gallon nationally even though he falsely claimed it was over $5 https://www.10news.com/news...he-started
But I'm still glad they are down from record highs 🙂

If they keep failing they might reach the level they were at when Biden took office
$2.47 when Biden took office, and gas is $2.59 now... a $0.12 difference.
If you buy groceries at Lowes, you'll get $0.10 off of your gas at Speedway.
I find it amazing how much people worry about gas prices, though. Think about it objectively... if gas was a whole $1 higher, that would be, what, maybe $15 a week more?
I know that some people have very fixed incomes, but social security gets an annual COLA that more than offsets the cost of gas. Not that they usually have to drive that much, anyway, so it probably would be more like $15 a month...
If you work 40 hours a week, though, then that extra $15 boils down to a mere $0.37 an hour. If you make $20 an hour, then that's about 1 minute of your salary. And that's if gas is a whole $1 higher!

the basic concept of today's inflation is when YOU demonRatZ print AND spend more money than we'll never see.
Source?
Best I can tell, it was Trump that said "just run the presses - print money" to pay off the debt... and the director of the White House National Economic Council said that he was "astounded at Trump's lack of basic understanding."
U.S. gasoline average price tops $5 per gallon in "historic first"
From your own article, "the real cost of gasoline..."
Again, you (like Trump) lack basic understanding. Inflation adjusted, gas was higher than $5 twice under Bush Jr and once under Reagan.
You also love to pretend that the year of the COVID quarantine didn't exist. And you pretend that inflation hasn't been a global problem... and you ignore that the US recovered more quickly than any other first world nation, thanks to Biden's policies.
Which we have discussed at length numerous times...

I guess smallbrain has a short memory when it comes to Biden's $5 gas prices... and that Reuters article is just pure fiction. I can hardly wait for the charts and graphs from anti showing it ain't true!

The highest price ever paid for a gallon of gasoline since the invention of the wheel... was when ... Biden was president.
You say that because you don't understand... or pretend to not understand... the basic concept of inflation.
Inflation adjusted, gas in 1918 was $4.79, in 1981 it was $4.29, in 2008 it was $4.32, and 2012 it was $4.47.
The real price of gas has gone down consistently since 1918, with the exception of the 1975 OPEC Embargo, the Bush Depression, and COVID.

Today's price of $2.69 is pretty close to the peak of $2.31 during the quarantine!
