Bitter Old Man

Yesterday I gave you a whole list of things that Christ taught that are not in the "Ten Commandments."

If Christ's message and purpose was to say "Follow the Ten Commandments" I think that would be recorded someplace, but even you admit that those words are not in the Bible.

When you read the "Sermon on the Mount" (Matthew chapters 5,6 & 7) you find only a few of the "Ten Commandments" mentioned and even then Jesus was changing them. Jesus said being angry with your brother was ***ful as murder. Calling your bother a fool is enough to send you to a fiery eternity (Matthew 5:22) but neither of those things is mentioned in the "Ten Commandments."

You scream have faith then attempt to vilify those who have faith. You remind me of one of those people Jesus talked about who wants to be noticed for your works and like to boast that your works are better than theirs. What was it Jesus said about them? Was it good?

Bitter Why don't you just read he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. If you can't keep it what Good are you. Jesus don't need you. Jesus needs people that are faithful.

Sure Jesus can amend God's Covenant with Israel. What makes you think He can't?

In Luke 22:20 Jesus told us his blood is the "New Covenant" (your "Ten Commandments are part of the "Old Covenant") and in John 13:34 Christ gave us a "New Commandment" to love each other as He loves us which is different than the old covenant law of loving our neighbors as ourselves (Leviticus 19:18) So, there are two examples of Jesus changing the rules as they were known before He came along and "Fulfilled the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 5:17)

Either way "Follow the Ten Commandments" is not a biblical quote no matter how many times you post it here.

Bitter , you can't run from truth that Jesus brought to the world. Jesus obeyed the Commandments of God. If you don't believe in Jesus as the Lord God you lose. Jesus can't take back his words. Therefore the Commandments of God cannot be changed. Jesus say

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God..

"SIN IS DISOBEDIENCE TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS."

Let. Works ? Wow you so ignorant..

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Oh Mikey, you're still at it I see. You have so much in common with Rome. You believe in grace plus works for salvation. It is up to you to keep your own faith. The difference is, I understand that even the faith I exercise in Christ is the gift of grace and not of myself. Ephesians 2:8-9.

THROUGH FAITH YOU ARE SAVED BY THE GRACE OF JESUS.BUT YOU GOT TO KEEP THE FAITH IN JESUS. THAT MEANS OBEDIENCE. IF GRAVE WAS ALL THEY WERE THEN JESUS DIED FOR NOTHING. SATAN CANT MAKE YOU GO AGAINST YOUR HEART. SATAN CAN ONLY TEMPT YOU WITH THE LUST IN YOUR HEART. YOU SIN YOU ARE DISOBEDIENT BECAUSE YOU MAKE THAT CHOICE TO SIN BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT SIN IS. SIN IS DISOBEDIENCE TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works

But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, IF A MAN LOVE ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORD: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that LOVETH ME NOT KEEPETH NOT MY SAYINGS: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me

M, I don't even know where to start. Do you lie on purpose or are your lies simply mistakes made from misunderstanding?

First, I fail to see how Jesus's quoting from Deuteronomy (chapter 8, verse 3) when being tempted by Satan adds any credence to your wrongful claim about the "Ten Commandments." Was Jesus quoting the "Ten Commandments" when He said that? It is just another example of you picking and choosing and truncating the Bible to fit your perverted personal views.

It is a lie to say that Jesus is recorded as saying "We must live by the Commandments of God." (which you posted on 08-10-2022 at 5:22pm.)

It is another pitiful falsehood to say that "Sin is disobedience to the Ten Commandments." (which you posted on 8-10-2022 at 5:29pm.) For a person who screams "Read the words of Jesus" you have missed the mark by a goodly distance. Jesus tells us what a sin actually is in John 3: 18 to 21. You may take my word for it, Jesus did not mention the "Ten Commandments."

I especially enjoy how you distort the Apostle John's writings (which, you yourself have attempted to discredit as "merely opinions" in numerous other posts) when you truncate what is written. Later in the same chapter, the Apostle John wrote "This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us." (1 John 3:23-24) Which of the "Ten Commandments" is Believing in the name of Christ or Loving one another?

I am beginning to believe that Revelation 12:10 speaks of your future, M: ". . . ."Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night." {emphasis mine}

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
