anybody can go to the senior center in fairplains to get their taxes done. call for appointment

Are you a member of the Credit Union?If so you can get them done free.

The Credit Union will process your taxes FREE of charge in Boone and you do not have to have an account with the bank. I would call the bank in Wilkes to find out if they do as well. The catch is you must make less than, I believe its $45,000 a year.

Go to IRS.gov.
Click on free file and if you meet the qualifications you can file both state and federal for free. Easy Peasy!

Do it yourself for free online at taxfreedom.com (turbo tax) if it's a simple return. It walks you through all the questions, pretty easy even if you itemize deductions. If your income is below certain amount, you can use to do both federal and state free.
