This is one (of many) questions that you should ask the church pastor abou and not rely on GoWilkes postings that are provided for entertainment purposes only.

When I was a child my mother wouldn't let me partake in communion because I was not saved yet. Which that was appropriate because I didn't understand why everyone else got a snack and I didn't. Then after I got saved she allowed me to. For me it was more of mommy's rules than the churches because the deacons would still offer the bread and juice to me, but she'd pull my hand away from the tray.

It's holy cannibalism.

Any church that would turn you away from partaking in their communion service because you are not a member is probably not a church that you would want to belong to anyway.

Communion is celebrated in Christian churches as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice for us. Some denominations ask that those celebrating the last supper with them be a member of their church while others offer a service which is open to all. I doubt that any pastor would refuse to serve communion, but stranger things have happened.

Maybe it depends on the church. There are people who partake in communion that have not been baptized.

The walls have never come tumbling down either.

One note about communion. It is my understanding that if you are not saved (a Christian) by the blood that you should not take part in communion.

If you have not accepted Christ as your personal savior, you have no communion with him. If and when a person accepts him as savior, they do have communion and fellowship with him and can feel confident to partake of the communion service at their church .

Should one wish to brew beer, Hangleft's book might be an excellent resource to have. I imagine that it gives some simple rules and directions which, if followed, would result in beer. No one (except Hangleft) expects that first batch of beer to be very good. It is only after some practice that the beer becomes more than potable. If Hangleft were to consult with a more experienced brewer, or even a "Master Brewer" from one of Milwaukee's finest breweries, he might find his understanding of the book bit simpler. He might be ble to brew "good" beer.

The Bible contains some rules and directions. Just as the makers of Samuel Adams, Budweiser, and Colt 45 all follow the basic tennents of brewing beer yet come up with distinctly different beverages, no two denominations of the Church are going to agree on every point. Yet, if those who believe follow the basic rules and directions they will attain the goal.

As in brewing beer, there will be those who scoff and ridicule. They will say that all beer tastes like horse urine or advance the advantages of distilling spirits over brewing. Some might even choose to lampoon the whole notion of consuming alcohol. However, one wishing to brew beer, or learn about communion, must over look those who try to dissuade them.

No matter how many times a group takes communion, no matter which religion
U practice, there will be no communion with Spirit as long as u r standing
Upright. Humble yourselves to that which is higher!

1 Corinthians 11: 26-30
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh ****ation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Communion
the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings
Luke 22: 19,20
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Jesus deciples understood the passover that ocurred just before the children of Israel came out of the bondage of Egypt.
Here Jesus is telling them that He is the sacrificial Lamb that is slain for our sins that we can be set free from the bondage of sin and death.
Taking Communion is the outward showing that we accept and agree with him.
If you do not agree that Jesus came to die to pay your sin debt don't try to interfere with his plan of salvation or hinder those who do.

Hilarious. Christians can't even get along with one another.

I've been at service during Catholic communion, because I wasn't Catholic I did not participate, which disappointed me because I was thirsty. I've been to non-Catholic communion and I was pretty much told I had to participate, which disappointed me because it was grape juice.

You see I think the bible says something about symbols and idols and well communion is just full of symbols and cannibalism.

They call their priests Father Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven

Ok so Catholicism is the worlds biggest cult. They break every rule in the bible. They pray to Mary and things like that. They believe that the priest can turn bread and wine into the literal body and blood of Christ.

I didn't take that as being smart arsed at all. I guess I just always went to a small church, and we weren't all that formal. It does sound sweet, though.

I grew up Baptist, and have never experienced a Communion. I thought it was something only Catholics and Lutherans did.

Not trying to be a smart arse, but it's a very ideal ceremony for churches to do at least twice a year (Easter and Christmas). I attend a nondenominational church and we do it at those times and any other times the pastor feels led to do so. It's a sweet ceremony reminding us what Jesus did for us. Might wanna consider a church that does perform the ceremony. I find it reflects on the churches priority.
