I had CWW back in the 90's and lost signal @ the county line on hiway 421. Tried another company still problems.Went with AT&T and have had service areas that are not available. AT&T is still my preference because of coverage into Canada and Mexico whenever I need to make a call. Smartphone with Talk text etc $45:00 per month.JMO

I agree with Oakwoods. Stay far away from Carolina West . Their coverage is good but as Oakwoods said they are a clueless bunch of condescending jerks. I was with them for 16 years and I never want to have to deal with them ever again. I think in this area Verizon is probably your best bet. Good coverage AND good customer service.

Don't go with Carolina Worst Wireless. They are a clueless bunch of condescending jerks. I was with them for almost twenty years. While their coverage area grew their customer service went to hades in a hand basket. I have been with Verizon for about eight years and am nothing but pleased

I consider it an honor and privilege to live and travel in an area with somewhat spotty cell phone coverage. My experience has been there are fewer of these privileged areas with Verizon.

Version pays to roam better on stronger towers. They have lte everywhere including wilkes . CCW has a cheaper prl and a lot of 1x data ,which is useless . Especially when outside Wilkes they try to roam on weak Sprint towers .

I had Carolina West. It don't work in Charlotte or Winston. It loses connection at the county line on north 77 for 3 stares. Sprint worked every where but in the upper Michigan and then only a part of a highway for about 15 mins.

If you're going to give advice springy give advice on something you know something about. Carolina west works in Charlotte and Winston it pretty much works every where in the USA. Are there dead spots in places yes but that is with any carrier i don't care who the carrier is. Crypt is right about cww

I know there is no perfect company out there. It all depends on where you will be using the phone and what works the best. Like with any business, there are good experiences as well as bad.

Tracfone is terrible! Tracfone owns Straight Talk and unless you use the bring your own phone activation kit, your calls could be blocked by other company's towers like what happened to me.

No phone service is going to be perfect. The very best over all I have found is track phone.

Yes there are very few dead spots with CWW. With Sprint there are very few live spots.

Carolina West is totally unorganized. It is not just the service area it is the business itself. God forbid you have a problem with billing. It never gets fixed.

It's not the phone I'm worried about, it's the service.

Brandi might want to ride up to Sparta to see the one traffic light and text her boyfriend while she's eating a whopper dog from Hardee's. She don't want Sprint.

Brandi go to Carolina West Wireless website and see if you like any of the "free" phones.

I had a bad experience with Straight Talk not letting my calls go through in Elkin. When I tried to call, I would get a CWW error message about all circuits being busy, meaning CWW probably doesn't allow straight talk to use their towers. Thankfully I was able to return my phone after having it for only a week. Most of my family uses Carolina West and it seems to be the best thing to have around here, I mean it is WESTERN CAROLINA after all.
