Thanks for adding that belly dance

I am the belly dancer that will be teaching the class.Belly dance is a dance for women of all ages and all weights. The roots of belly dance go back to ancient fertility and birth rituals. It was a dance performed by women for women and historically NOT performed as a dance of seduction. The dance was passed on from grandmothers to their daughters and granddaughters. Women would gather and dance in celebration of a wedding or child birth. The art of belly dance empowers women to celebrate their curves, get more in touch with their feminine/sensual side and have fun doing it! It is not stripping, it is not pole dancing, it is not go go dancing, lap dancing etc. Just thought I would say this to put some minds at ease. What I do is folkloric and very artsy and family friendly. So come on out and learn this ancient art with us.

8:30-9pmAs I understand class will be done at 8:30 (so you can leave if you need to, I know it's during the week so ssome have school or work the next day).And we'll just be hanging around and going over what we've learned for another half hour or so if anyone wants to.

Im sure you will get enough. And who knows, it may turn out to be a big thing! I wish you all well with it. Its just not my thing.Now as i said, line dancing would be more my thing.And im not just talking about country line dancing like the boot scootin boogy, im talking about line dancing to all types of music! Its fun, ive seen it. Come on somebody get something like that started! LOLSeriously, i do wish you all luck with the belly dancing classes!

Ah well if this class is a 'success' there is a positive side to this... you could always get a job at the Circle C, I hear they have a nice polite clean cut clientale. You gals shouldn't exlude the guys, if you've walked around town here...there are so many peeps that could use a little belly dancing. Only problem is, they get started on main street and they'll giggle their way on down 421

Angrykid- I don't know if you've ever met me but I'm not a skinny girl by any means. I'm average with a little fluff So yeah short big girls are going to be present. I'm sure well have slim tall ones too.All body types are accepted. And you don't have to show any belly. She's in a dance troupe so right now weekends are not going to work with all the festivals this summer but maybe later we can do weekends.Getting a good turn out for the first class is a big step toward keeping a good teacher.

What about weekends!!!
