It was never a barge, it was a container ship out of Singapore. The msm has been lying in overtime. The harbor should have required guidance and the ship should have dropped anchors at the moment of loss of power. Looks like an escalating collapse of ineptitude, which we have been seeing more and more the last few years. Vehicles were on it DURING the collapse, hence the reason safety personnel reported on vehicles in the water! But support that spin at all costs!!!

A video of the ship hitting it... cars and 18-wheelers were driving on it just seconds before the collapse!
It looks like that thing was held together by floss and bubble gum!

If you lose way you lose steerage. It might be a good idea to leave the judgement until all the facts are in. And then the judgement should be left to maritime experts. I don't know of too many qualified people living along the Wilkes shoreline, maybe a couple or so down by the reservoir.

Believe it or not. I've did port work/yeoman.
What I say per speed up film. The pilot could clearly see the bridge. But did someone go to potty? The vessel was already at an unsafe angle. A 1/4 or more from the embutment. If you'll notice vessels approach? It's as if he turned into it.
Also. ANY REAL CAPTAIN/PILOT. Wod have requested tugboat guide assistance.
But? To my understanding it wasn't requested. To cut costs.
