This doesn't surprize me one bit. That road is nothing but fighting, cutting, drugs and now murder. Cops are always going down that road about something all the time. It's so sad that this has happen !!

Poor Tree. He had a good sense of humor. Could get ornery the more he drank but didn't deserve this sad end.

Wilkes County Man Beaten To Death; Another Arrested for Murder Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 12:01PM Wilkes County has another murder for this year. A Wilkes County man, 53-year-old Kenneth Dean �Tree� Beshears, was beaten to death last night at a Shew Ridge Mission Road residence. Wilkes County Sheriff�s Office Chief Deputy Doug Cotton told 3WC News that they received a call regarding a domestic disturbance about midnight. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Beshears lying dead in the driveway. He had been bludgeoned to death. The death occurred as the result of a fight at the home of Nathaniel James Roten age 38. Roten was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Others were on the scene but no other charges have been filed. No reason was given for the fight. Again, Kenneth Dean �Tree� Beshears was beaten to death last night, and Nathaniel James Roten has been arrested on 1st Degree Murder and is in the Wilkes County Jail.

My deepest condolences. Did he used to hang around the swimming hole on old 16? And ride horses? If so I knew him too.

So sorry to hear of this tragedy Tree was a harmless person never heard anything bad about him worked with him at holly farms/tyson . My heart goes out to the entire family. He will be missed by many. God bless you all

So sorry to hear about Tree. Worked with him for years at at Holly Farms/Tyson. My prayers are with the family.

yea your right it was Kenneth Beshears (Tree) and It was my FATHER so if anyone needs to feel like that wanna say anything Horrible now probably is not the TIme I promise so please from refrain from the smart *** comments thanks
